and now for something hilarious. want one in yellow? Newport lexus will sell you one for 138k. that includes 10k for black wheels and 20k worth of "market adjustment". if one of you pays that for this, you will be mocked.

Care to post the numbers? Companies, more or so, make more money off leasing because of repeat customers, not so much off of interest. A person that buys keeps a car longer and will step into a dealership less than a person who will lease. I lease through Lexus and my money factor when converted to interest is something like 4%.... So where'd you get 10-15%?
With a MF of .0005, which converts to 1.2% interest, the actual effective APR is roughly 4.2%. (Because on a lease you actually have to pay interest on residual to, or in other words,
- Capitalized Cost + Residual Value × Money Factor

a new level of dealer stupidity
just when you thought dealers couldn't get any dumber, there's this; a Maryland dealer advertising a 2019 LC 500 for, wait for it....$146k. LOL. here's the link
https://www.cars.com/vehicledetail/d...8463/overview/
i didn't see what the "$45,718 of dealer added accessories" were, so i went to the dealer's website and didn't see it there either, but they also reference the surcharge;
https://www.ourismanlexusofrockville...8373ff35c8.htm
so if they're advertising a ridiculously high price to generate web hits, so be it. that's a dubious strategy. if they're serious about this, they should have their heads examined. that number is about twice what the car is worth. gently used 2018 models are easy to find at under 75k and the 2019's will be worse, not better, given even lower sales this year. unless the accessories are bikini clad supermodels, this ain't gonna fly.

Just because you only look at used LC's, does not mean others are in the same financial situation.

Actually you're wrong, its a brand new 2019 so its not worth only 73k. The dealer add-ons are clearly the full Artisan widebody package, aftermarket rims and other trim upgrade features. Add the dealer work premium on it and 40k is about right.

if ANYONE pays 140something for an LC 500 they should have their head examined.

"twice" was only a slight exaggeration. actually i doubt there are many people here as familiar with current pricing on new or used LC 500's right now. don't get me wrong, that isn't a brag by any means, i've just put a lot of time into shopping nationally over the last several months and have been in contact with at least 20 separate dealers. the market right now is at about 85-88k for a new 2019 and 70-75k for a lightly used 2018. when the 2020's start rolling out, the 2019 prices will decrease for sure. that hasn't happened yet.

I search on some website saying that 104k MSRP lc500 has an invoice price of 94k something, how can they going down that much below invoice price to 88k? Dont get me wrong, I do hope your numbers are correct, just curious whether dealer is losing money on selling new lc500 and why would they do that, since that number look insane even given the lc500 sales data is only 1/4 of its expectation

I am actively looking for 2019 lc500 which has a bespoke white interior. Your numbers are a very valuable pricing data. Thanks!
