Hit 11K miles and just shy of 1 year of ownership so I thought I'd go ahead and change some filters myself.
I know the dealer does it while you are drinking lattes and eating snacks... but it tricks me into feeling like I still know how to work on cars....
5.0 L V8 engine
OEM engine air filters about $24 each (need 2) online purchase.

A tool-free job... how about that. Just remove the 2 side engine bay covers. The trick to removing the little locking pins is to push the center to unlock them, then they pop out. Be careful they don't fall into the engine bay.
The air filter holder is held in by 2 springy clips then a holder slides out, swap the filter, slide in and lock the holder, and replace the engine covers. Less than 10 minutes and again.. no tools.
My original filters were not very dirty at all. Guess I should do more off-roading....
Was going to try the cabin air filter also but couldn't find an access panel in or around the glove box. Didn't feel like prying apart a lot of plastic... Anyone done this one yet?
