Just last week I upgraded to the 9.5 Front and 11 Rear Vossen HF-1. Front tires are 275/35. Rear is 295/35. Both are michelin pilot A/S. Vertical tire line sits almost flush with the wheel. Doesn't have the stretched look you would get with using the stock tires on those widths

Both Handling and ride are much improved.

hitman and flowrider
could you share any observable or measurable insight into how you thought your LC500 ride and handling suffered to warrant improvement ?
and notwithstanding the neatness factor or the fact they cost a wad, exactly how did the ride and handling improve ?
just asking...

^^^^The two answers may differ. My choice of tires is a summer only HiPo performance. hitmanb88's choice was an all seasons tire. For me, cornering is flatter, braking feels better and again, for me, I feel the LC is more planted and I feel more confident in extreme handling situations on the street. Also, in getting rid of the RFTs, I am getting a more compliant ride. IMHO, the wider wheels and the change in track also help here.

Ride felt a little bit smoother as I go over the usual train tracks I encounter, not a huge amount. I always slow down to like 30 over them anyways. The reason I got new tires is because my friend got bigger wheels (HF1) and kept the stock run flats and they looked super stretched. I like the look where the tire wall is almost a straight vertical line at the face of the wheel like what flowrider has. As far as handling, I'm not sure. I rarely cut loose in it but it seems a little harder to lose traction which is good for me. I'm not the guy getting squirrely around corners lol, I drive like a responsible grandpa I'm actually going to film a youtube video comparing the stock run flat fitment on bigger wheels compared to mine using my buddies car

Flowrider: Love your gloss black, the ones I got are satin. I thought about switching them to gloss

thanks, flower and hits, for your reasoned responses, tho i'd figured you'd both have good reason to pump more cash into already optimally engineered
coupes. we seem to be greybeards who've developed special relations with our beloved rides, and its interesting to hear how you've optimized yours.
the aerodynamics on this rocket are extraordinarily effective: we're more stable at 110 than at 60 - whew - it really feels like its stuck tight to the road !
btw, my version chirps and barks on downshifts like rimshots on a snare drum; likely they allow a little fuel through to help the acoustics !

^^^^I have been buying personal cars since 1957, new since 1962. I have never left a vehicle I have owned stock. That includes cars, trucks and motorcycles. Also, in my above post, I forgot to add, that I drive (95%) of the time in Custom mode. I programmed it for Sport for suspension and Normal for powertrain.

I have Advan GT wheels in 20x10 front and 20x11 rear.

A 12 inch rear should be doable. At one point I was running a 21x11.5 with room to spare.

Have you any photos of either setup you could share?

Lexus LC Looks Even Better on Carbon Fiber-Finish Wheels
By Brett Foote

As if the LC isn't good-looking enough, the right set of wheels can make it even better.
