AA - Android Auto and CP - Car Play (Apple)

If they said it wasn't available for AA, then that's normal. But for CP, I'd say have a talk with someone else at the dealership or just go to another one.

Got installed by the dealer for $155. The dealer I bought it from wanted $300

Does Apply play work with Bluetooth or only plugged in?
I click the voice button on the steering wheel and it just brings up Siri and it cannot open maps when asked it to.

Bluetooth is disabled on the car while Carplay is being used.

I’m not quite sure if I understand the issue but using CPLAY2air wireless adapter for factory CarPlay allows ACP to work from iPhone without manually connecting. I think my Bluetooth connections still work but will check when I get in my car.

I was referring to the oem carplay. Not sure about the adapter.

OEM car play does not with bluetooth is terrible because the battery life on the phone is decreased every time its plugged in to charge.

Of course lexus bricks my unit installing CarPlay the day after I bought it. A week and half later, no eta on a new nav unit. Sucks!

Only had my 2018 LC one night. It’s been at the dealer for a week and half with no eta on a new nav unit. So disheartening for what was supposed to be an hour and half job. Talk about getting the rug pulled out from under you.

More detail!!! What did they try to do? I don’t think a straight up infotainment swap is possible between the 2018 and 2021+

Guess the tech didn’t know what he/she was doing. Just blows for me, especially after just purchasing.
