Apple CarPlay for 2018 models?
Read that the 2019 LC's now have Apple CarPlay (why couldn't they just do this from the start considering the car is $100k?). Does anyone know If it's possible to somehow get CarPlay in 2018 LC's? Thanks

The latest that I read is that Lexus is considering bringing it to some 2018 models (from Lexus Enthuasiast):
Lexus is expected to bring Apple CarPlay functionality to older vehicles equipped with the Enform 2.0 infotainment system — from the Lexus USA website:

Lexus remains committed to enhancing our in-vehicle multimedia guest experience. We are currently conducting an internal trial for Apple CarPlay® compatibility in some 2018 LC, 2018 LS, 2018/19 NX, 2018 RC, 2018/19 RC F, and 2019 ES (non-navigation).
At this time, we do not have any additional information we can share but anticipate providing further details to the applicable guests in Summer 2019.

The Toyota Camry community went through this yesterday .
1. You can register on Toyota TIS and get a two day subscription ($65.00), download the update to your computer, decompress the zipped folder and copy it on a USB Flash drive. The instructions for the update are in the TSB PDFs.
You must have the engine running during this update, it can take anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hr depending on the head unit your car has. The process is simple and you do not need the dealer because it is only a software install.

These are directly from the L-SB-0028-19 Lexus Technical Service Information Bulletin dated May 6, 2019.
NOTICE
Failure to follow the Software Update Procedure exactly as written may cause damage to the head unit.
Upon starting the installation the notice reads:
NOTE
· If a blue screen appears, remove the USB flash drive, verify ALL downloaded files are present on the empty USB flash drive, cycle the vehicle OFF/ON, and begin the procedure again.
· If a red screen appears remove the USB flash drive, verify ALL downloaded files are present on the empty USB flash drive, and cycle the vehicle OFF/ON. Then, verify that a green screen appears after 1 minute, cycle the vehicle OFF/ON again, and once the map screen appears, begin the procedure again.
Once the "Installing New software ...." screen appears:
NOTICE
If a red or green screen appears, cycle “IG-OFF” and “IG-ON.” If the head unit does NOT boot up after “IG-OFF” and “IG-ON,” replace the head unit.
It appears you have likely 'bricked' your head unit.
Let us all know what the new head unit costs you to replace.
