Android Auto and Carplay Option for LC500 - Anyone try it yet?
Hey Everyone,
I have not bought my LC500 yet, and I am still enjoying my 2017 c63s coupe, but I foresee one of these in my future soon. Such a cool car. It seems from everything that I have read that the biggest flaw is the infotainment system. The Mercedes system is also terrible, and so I replaced it with an android auto headunit from Aliexpress, like in the thread below:

It looks like there is an option available to add Android Auto and Carplay to any 2017 and later LC500 on Aliexpress, and it retains the factory headunit but interfaces with Android and Apple through an external kit. Here is the link:

I know that this is a product from China and these units are known for having some bugs, but at least with the Mercedes I was able to sort them out and now it works great. MUCH better than factory in usability and appearance. Has anyone tried this solution yet for the LC500? People seem to like it on the other Lexus models that it is offered for, according to reviews.

The Mercedes one was stretched a little on some apps, but for the most part was a big improvement. Mostly I like having Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, and Pandora.
