Funny how things happen. A ClubLexus member posted a photo of his RCF car cover he obtained from a Lexus dealership. I contacted my Lexus dealer and asked the sales manager if they had the special RCF car cover that Lexus sent them. I also told him that I am still interested in an Infrared LC 500. He replied that they no longer have the cover but gave me a price I couldn’t refuse. $5,000 discount plus Lexus cash of $20,000.00! MSRP is $103,366.00 so that’s almost 25% off for a brand new LC 500! That is almost what I paid for my RCF when it was new. My New Lexus LC 500 as it sits in the dealership. That is why I bought it. Lexus would not discount them originally. It’s not a 2019 it’s a 2018 build date of 9/18 so it does not have lot rot. Lexus is giving $20,000 cash for purchase of an 2018. With a $5k discount added to the 20k, I’ve taken the depreciation hit. If anyone is interested Lexus cash good until 6/3/19. So it’s not a 2019 or a 2020 coming soon, it’s still brand new with 8 miles. With Apple Car Play added for $199 its almost the same as a 2019.
My new LC arrived today late just before Lexus of Seattle closed. Unfortunately for me, I cannot take delivery until Tuesday because it has to go through service department to check out everything and clear mask install. Here’s a couple of photos right after it came out of the enclosed transport trailer. It was a week ago today that I came in and put down a deposit. It came from Southern California Lexus dealer just north of San Diego and no extra charge for shipping!
^^^^When I lived in Santa Barbara, back in the nineties, I owned an SC300, 5MT. One weekend I went to the movies and parked in underground parking with the SC pointed toward the wall. When I got out, I found a ticket on the windshield for no front plate.
The state I live in requires a front tag but I always wait until they catch me and issue a fix it ticket. I dread the day they catch me in the LC and I have to put braces on my baby..

Washington State requires front license plate and it’s a $159 ticket. I have no problem displaying my front plate and not giving an officer a reason to pull me over although it didn’t help with my RCF.
