My 2021 does not beep in reverse. Are y’all talking about a continuous beep that a work truck would make when backing up?

I haven’t been in for any dealer visits yet to program anything.

Exactly, but only inside the car! Not useful to alert pedestrian, ala Work Truck scenario. A continuous beeping while the shifter is in reverse! Very distracting.
Having said that, this is the finest car I have ever owned!

My 2021 only beeps once when I engage reverse. I've always assumed Lexus turned the continuous beeping off after so many complaints.

Maybe I'm weird, but the beeping does not bother me

It only bothers me when the reverse beep "fought" with the reverse sensors' beep or the cross-traffic-alert beep.

As discussed i guess this was changed in one model year because mine doesn't beep while in reverse.
