Default Seat Belt strap usage

Does anyone else find using the seat belt strap more cumbersome than not using it at all? I threaded the seat belt through the strap but it seems

more twisted that way. When I leave the seat belt out of the strap the operation is smoother. I also have no trouble reaching the seat belt. Just

wondering what others do.

Same with me. I've had some shoulder issues, so I needed something easier. My other vehicles work effortlessly.
I've decided to leave the strap. As I am about to exit I place the latch just inside the side bolster where it seems to stay after taking a few seconds for the belt to retract.

I removed the shoulder portion of the belt from the retainer at the top of the seat once
That made for an adventure fishing it out from the rear seat area

I don't have a problem with the belt being backwards I just find the overall operation of the seat belt smoother when not

under the strap. I'm 6'1 and like to drive with the seat low , leaning and pushed back. The back of the seat ends up behind where the seat belt comes out.

So for me works better not using strap.

that other thread was amusing. i've merged both as same topic.

it prompted me to go out into my cold garage first thing this morning to check.

will post pics later but mine appears to be like Exhilr8n in the other thread, buckle points toward the door when not held by the strap and retracted all the way back, but i think the reason that's CORRECT is because the opening on the side of the car is so low that when it's fed up over the seat it's being flipped 180 degrees VERTICALLY through the strap, which makes it then the RIGHT way out and can be fed down to the receiver.

i think.

Yes!!! The seatbelt in the 2021 LC500 convertible is turned the way all other cars I’ve ever had were! Just brought it home yesterday.

Don’t know but it seems that more of the 2019s than mine had it installed reversed.

Just got my brand new 2024 LC with twisted seatbelts. Quite irritating. I think the only way to fix it is to unbolt at the bottom and turn it. Will bring it up on the first dealer service and report back.
