I was barely able 3 years ago, with a month to spare, to get my 10 year/100k mile Platinum extended warranrty for my '18. Yes, those warranties have gotten pricier since then. That being said, the cost of my warranty was about the same as replacing both actuator assemblies. There are 2 parts per door that will require replacing.
There is (Above) a YouTuber of a Japanese guy replacing the passenger door assembly. He seems to be knowledgable but still surprised at the amount of disassembly required. The entire window has to come out, the assembly is Behind the window.
This next part is purely SWAG on my part. Even though a good bit of the door is Aluminum, to me, it's still pretty damn heavy. To Me, pretty heavy for that little actuator arm with the L on it. When I am parked with one side of the car lower than the other I am careful when opening the door from the outside on the Higher side of the car. It seems to me the Extra weight of the door in that position cannot be doing that small actuator arm any good. I hook my finger around the edge of the slightly open door and open it using That instead of putting any extra weight on the actuator arm. I have no idea if this helps of not but it doesn't seem like it could hurt things either.
