Default Ground Clearance-is it really that low?

Lexus Canada states that LC 500's ground clearance is 5.2'', and Corvette C8 forum pic says that both C7 and C8 have 5.3''.... It just never occurred to me that LC 500 is that low to the ground. Kinda thought it's higher since it's more of a GT car. Do you have any issues driving over speed bumps and such? Thanks!

Or perhaps Lexus Canada is simply fake news, LS 500 has 5.1''...

just watched a review of the LS talking about how its not hard to scrape the front. i literally cant fill up gas around my neighborhood in my 911 without scraping the front, even going practically parallel and 2 mph.

In my case, it's a little lower, since I lowered it with RS-R springs and I installed a full lip kit all around. I'd probably say that my front clearance is about 2.0" !!!! Put it this way, I can't go into certain communities here in FL, since they have speed bumps, and I cannot clear them....

That doesn't sound accurate but the good thing is that the LS can be raised if you have the optional air suspension. The LC doesn't have that feature. Something to think about if the LC is a daily driver.

I have a very steep driveway like 9 degrees and in 2016 I could not drive a new Z06 up due to the low front splitter. So I went Z51 Stingray instead. The LC I bought 200 miles from home, and the dealer would take the car back if I couldn't get it up the slope. It goes up without scraping.

That's good to hear, so it seems accurate that C7/C8 Stingray and LC 500 have similar ground clearance. It was also pretty cool that your dealer would take the car back if it scraps

Not only ground clearance, but also angle of attack. Different nose geometry, and different distances nose to front wheel...

I don't know, I feel like the OEM ride height is kind of high. I'd like to close up my wheel gap a little more, probably an inch lower would be perfect.

No issues at stock height. Once you lower it, it gets a little tricky but still not bad. Add a lip and then you’re really limited on where you can pull in. But for the brief time it was stock height, I never worried about it. Of course you can’t just pull all the way up on a parking curb/stop at anytime, stock or lowered. That’s how I usually judge a driver if they are or are not a “car guy”
