My new PPE Exhaust System

My new PPE Exhaust System
Got my LC back yesterday with a complete PPE exhaust system. Headers and Dual Mode Exhaust. I chose to use the stock finishers rather then double exhaust tips on each side. So far I luv it
Here's another LC where the owner chose tips:
As you can see the workmanship is amazing!

Impressive. We have PPE header and downtube on our track Lotus. Ceramic coated, a good value and readily available. Enjoy!

Nice!! How does it feel?! Comparable to the ISF?

^^^^The sound and feel are quite different. The LC has much more sound deadening, so the small amount of drone that I heard in the ISF, I don't hear in the LC. I hear the exhaust sound, on acceleration, coming from the rear of the car, and it sounds great. As far as power, much more with this engine and setup. With the valves closed the exhaust still sounds aggressive, but I'm planning to drive with it open most of the time, as I did with the ISF. I'm loving it IMHO, PPE has done a wonderful job engineering this for the LC.

How difficult was it to install the headers? Was any clearance issues with the frame or accessories? Any thing had to be moved or relocated. Was the oxygen sensors still attached. Did is affect any computer sensors?
Thank You,
Warren

^^^^Much of the front underbody needs to be dropped. The rear motor mounts need to be removed. The only relocated part is the dip stick. PPE supplies a new dip stick tube. Remember, this complete exhaust system is engineered for the LC 500. Both sets of o2 sensors were removed. The forward sensor is reinstalled in the header, and the aft sensor (with an angled tunable extension) in the mid pipe. Look at the pict in my first post of the mid pipe. I am attaching another pict showing the aft sensors. PPE reports that the system shows no CEL on all installed systems. It is showing none on mine.

JAYCRAY or Flowrider: Was there any retuning to be done to the engine? Any ECU reflash?

Some time has passed and I am still happy with my choices. I have not put my car on the dyno yet. But, I have experienced increased performance from my LC with the PPE EL headers and dual mode exhaust. Quicker of the line, awesome midrange and my top end also feels more responsive. My LC doesn't sound quite as raw as above because I have mufflers, resonators, and Gesi Cats. I am happy I made the changes and would not want my LC any other way.

In looking at the pics, I notice that the O2 sensor port is before the catalytic converter. What is the purpose of the catalytic converter if it is downstream from the 2nd set of O2 sensor ports? Just curious! I am not very knowledgeable about exhaust systems, but I would think that for the purpose of the ECU reading the exhaust fumes for emissions, the O2 port would need to be after that cat. Please educate me!
