I've seen bespoke window stickers with Torsen/Yamaha, so it should still be offered. Or at least it was before. But let me clarify something I was confused about too: The Yamaha damper (singular) is a CHASSIS damper, and not adjustable shock absorbers (like I also thought they were). And that unit is located transversely, somewhere under the rear seat area. It absorbs chassis vibrations when chassis is subjected to torsional loads. For some reason, it comes bundled with the Torsen, but no idea why. That's also why I want the Torsen, but mostly because contrary to a clutch unit, it doesn't wear out like a clutch. The good news is it's offered (along with the Yamaha damper) as a stand-alone option for $460 or so.

Question? I have a 23 IS 500. It has the 3.13 Torsen LSD. The part number for the complete unit for the IS 500 is 41110-24271. From what I am reading in this thread, I believe I have the same diff as the LC500H 41110-11050, just perhaps a different part number , Yes/No? This car is pretty darn nice. Folks get bummed over the 8 speed Tranny, but I like it. The car is very exciting to drive! That said, can I make it even more so? Thank you in advance.

I do not know if it is the same diff or not. The IS has a 3.13 torsen LSD. What is unique from the LC500H diff? It could it be a parts number rebrand? I don't know.? I am asking what is unique in the LC500H diff that I do not have in my IS 500 diff? They both have 3.13 gears.

That's great but the H diff has 3.3 gearing.

Thank you. Do not know how I missed that. Going back and forth with gears and parts numbers, I lost sight of that 3.3 gear fact that got me going in the first place. I had asked on the IS 500 thread page a while back if there was a different gear in the Torsen and here it is. Looks like I have to look into ordering this diff. Adding some more torque is all the IS 500 is missing. Thanks again!

Just sitting on the bench over here, but has anyone experienced any 1/4 mile differences? I saw the 2-3 tenths differences earlier, but curious what the 1/4 mile time would be for reference.

I thought I updated this information. Maybe I did it somewhere else...

I was able to confirm that ALL bespoke models have LSD. Lexus doesn't advertise, but all bespoke models have sport handling package as a standard. Crazy why Lexus doesn't specifically spell this out. I confimed this with the my lexus dealer's parts department. I gave them my vin, and ask for the direct replacement part number for the entire diff assembly. I forget the part number, but I was able to look it up and verify that it is indeed LSD + confirmed that it has both front and rear Yamaha dampeners.

Also, with the panels removed from the bottom, I also saw that they've included the oil cooler. I don't know if this is for the bespoke models only, or all 2024+ models. If you have a bespoke model, call your dealer parts dept and confirm. Then compare your part number to the parts listed on this thread:

The Yamaha dampener is just ONE, and it's a chassis dampener. I initially thought they were shock absorbers, but seemed weird it only said 'rear'. Turns out it's a chassis dampener at the rear (located in the rear seat area under the car). And it comes bundled with the Torsen diff indeed. I was under the impression ALL LCs have an LSD standard, just not a Torsen one (probably a mechanical clutch type). Does anybody know for sure what kind of diff is on touring LCs without the Torsen/Yamaha option? Just curious. Thanks.

Best bet is to call your lexus dealer part dept. Give them your vin# and aks for complete diff assembly replacement part for your car. Then take that part number, and compare it to the post# 15 here. You'll know for sure then. That's what I did. I was planning on purchasing the Torsion LSD for my bespoke, and it turns out that it coms pre-installed which is due to the fact that all bespoke models by default includes the sports package.

Thank you. And just read the entire thread, and turns out anything newer than '21 includes 'ACA' with the open differential, and it's NOT compatible with LSD. So will make Torsen a deal-breaker option then, since I wouldn't buy anything older than a '22, and with less than 5K miles. Great info. Thanks gang.

The Torsen has been an option since the start of production. I bought my MY18 and it has the Torsen option.

This is a lot of work and money for 3 10nths of a second and a lively feeling in the seat of your pants!? The 2025 will blow the previous LC off the road 0-60 and quarter mile.
