elevating, maybe even, depending on $, start a fire ...
lou, you mentioned in post #8 ~ 4K for the part, back in 2019; i imagine that now will be more...

not as hefty then. what, couple grand to sneak it in there?
i had a price est. close to 1k to install a yamaha dampener, which i decided against.
labor on these carriges is high

If you havent already, you may get another message asking if you want a full refund or to wait. So look out for that. In my scenario it said delayed for 10-30 days. June 23rd it said delayed. Then on July 7th it actually shipped out. If you go the refund route down the line, the money first goes into your amayama account. Then you just select to transfer it back to your card. The refunded money was back on my debit card in less than 48 hours. It might have even been within 24 hours. Hope you dont have to wait too long for the part though!

Has anyone looked into just ordering the ring and pinion gear and just doing the gear swap? I am guessing there are very limited 500H differentials available as it is not a very common part to replace on a car that is relatively rare. I am guessing the guys that have done this swap have probably used up all the available spares that are in the system.

Right, but how many LC500Hs' break differentials? I would bet there has hardly ever been a failure of 500h diff, therefore, Lexus is not going to have a lot of spares in stock. Just wondering if getting the gearset is any easier? Obviously there is probably not an after-market solution here.

exciting times! When mine shipped with fedex i didnt get billed for import fees right away. Came in the mail a month later maybe. It was around 78 dollars so look out for that. Also, fedex did email me asking to explain in more detail what was inside the package before clearing customs. Just a heads up.
