Lots of great feedback, thank you, everyone. I did not mention anything about the seats, but echo the feedback here as well. They were comfortable but the upper bolsters seemed a bit off, coming from an IS F. I definitely want to give it another try.

Over-all, I am really leaning towards the idea of getting an LC to replace my F. We'll see in spring 2020, it's winter here now.

take note the LC is brake by wire, the feedback is not as good as full hydraulic brakes. It groans at low brake pressure at very low speeds

I have 12k miles on mine with sport pkg. I drive it very hard. The brakes are phenomenal and other people have said the same thing. The carbon has gotten scuffed. Otherwise I don't see any wear on the car. The technology in my new AMG is much better but the overall build and material quality in the AMG is on level with a Ford compared to the LC. None of the transmissions in the performance cars I own and have driven compare to a Luxury cruiser. It's the nature of the beast.

I guess it's personal preference. I just told my wife after a 6 hour trip in the LC that I would get full alcantara in every car I owned if I could. It's never hot. Never cold and for me the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. Have done 13 hours in them.

I just think the brakes are the best comparing to my Porsche, AMG, Jag., and Audi. Others have made the same comment. They feel very mechanical which I like. I just hit them hard recently and could feel it in the steering wheel.

I have the Sport Pkg and love the rear wheel steering. Turning circle is amazing.

^^^^If you have Active Rear Steering you have the Performance Package. That includes the Sport Package plus CF scuff plates and the wing,

And, you needed four posts

[QUOTE=M4rk;10650292]Hello folks,

I test drove a pre-owned '18 LC500 w/ Performance Pckg yesterday with 12k km/7.5k mi on the clock. There were a few things I found a bit odd, so I wanted to check with the LC crowd to understand if the behavior is normal and get some feedback. Sorry for the long post.

Interior wear/tear: The carbon scuff plates were, well.. scuffed up. I even touched them myself when getting out. I'd definitely want to PPF mine to keep them looking new. In addition, I noted some wear on the upper sections of the B pillar, and window weather stripping on the exterior. How is your LC holding up?

I had mine PPF from new, i was concerned about scuffing them after owning a RC-F for 3 years, although i find the scuff plates are lower in the LC than the RC-F.
As you can see the whole scuff plate is now shiny were before the PPF it was only the part with the word Lexus on which was shiny the rest was mat.

Much more comfortable IMHO, and my choice is, and was, full leather. Both the Base & Touring Package seats do not have the constricting upper bolsters.

Lou
Are the lower seat cushions on the touring version more comfortable as well, and are they 10 way vs 8?
Thx

^^^^They are firm IMO, but I find them comfortable. The head restraints in the Touring Package seats are powered. They are not powered in the Sports Package seats.

UPDATE: did another test drive and noticed the sport seats have a flatter bottom toward the back of the cushion and also a different pattern than the touring, which actually made them a bit more comfortable in the lower cushion area albeit firmer, but the bolsters in the SS's were too aggressive for the wifey. Fwiw all the seats are less comfortable than the M850's or the S coupe's.
