Default Lexus+Alexa

Has anyone gotten the Alexa feature to work reliably? Mine rarely works when I try to use it. If someone is indeed using it without issue, please share your secret.

It uses the microphone on your phone so make sure it's not in your pocket. The new apple IOS 13 and higher now have a "Deep Sleep" setting that tried to put background apps to sleep when not being used. Once you hook up the phone, initiate the Lexus+Alexa and get music playing, technically the Lexus + Alexa app is sitting Idle. After about 30 Seconds or so it now falls into a "Deep Sleep" that causes it not to respond to commands or can cause the music to shut off. I would recommend disable the Apple Carplay in Menu-->Setup-->General--> Apple CarPlay. 2. Plug the phone into the USB port to help keep its charge. 3. Keep the Lexus +Alexa app open on the screen of the phone (don't lock the phone screen). This helps keep the app awake and should help eliminate some of these issues.

Thanks offroad. Seems like more trouble than it's worth. I have Amazon Echos all over my house and hoped to extend that use in the LC, but this sounds like a lot of effort. Okay, whining over. I'll try it.
