Loved the LC, but moved on

Excellent choice...while the LC500 is a handsome car the MCLAREN is on a different level. It looks like you have a few cars in the garage so you probably won't drive the Mclaren enough to experience any of those so call problems.

Only 500 miles so far but I am quite impressed by how driveable the car is. Reminds me of the Evora, so smooth and responsive. Sure all that power is there, but just going down the road it’s fun and easy.
But can not forget the fun of the LC. The exhaust note perfect for an NA car. All that entertaining tech. Wonderful seats. And a bunch more room inside. All the power you really need. Was fun to raise the hood and see those beautiful strut towers. There is no motor cover to raise on a Mac.
So enjoy how blessed we are to be able to have these rare treasures in our lives! Happy Holidays

I have a 2018 in Nightfall Mica and the toasted caramel interior. Love that combination!

Congrats on a beautiful car. Have also been considering the 570s as I have been reading that they're pretty reliable these days. I couldn't get over how quiet they are compared to my LP550 though but the vertical doors are definitely a great plus.

The Mac is more edgy, nervous, racy. It can fill a tunnel just fine. And with the spider, you can lower the back window (like a pickup truck!) and listen in even on cooler or wetter days.
The doors are fun, I’ve figured how to get in and pull the door down in one motion, cool. But getting out gracefully still eludes me. Look like a stiff 80 year old. Working on it. Eventually got it down in the Elise, but you have to move to the left a ton to stand up. And sometimes it’s just a bit embarrassing, over the top. Like with an LT or any shouty car, sometimes you just want to get out and go about your business, without talking to a bunch of folks.

Try a Lotus Elise with a cage and a helmet with a Hans. I could do it pretty well up until 60.

I brought a 2017 570S and had no real issues (knock on wood) . They were all minor and I didn't even notice, but they were addressed during scheduled maintenance. Great choice and have fun!

But... I know exactly what you are talking about...64 here too...
