Lexus DCM transmits driving and location data to Lexus and shares with "partners"

I will not activate the Enform service on my RX or GX for the same reason. No company needs real-time, continuous telemetry data from me for the sole purpose of providing a remote car starter. Infuriating.

I find myself fantasizing about ripping all the Lexus electronics out of the vehicle and replacing it with an aftermarket solution that does what I want.

Well, technically remote start from the key (not the Enform app) doesn't involve any network. They just use their remote access to disable the key's remote start functionality.

Good day gentlemen! I was routed to this thread by google.
If anyone still interested, on 2017 model year LC500 DCM fuse (7.5A) is located in Passenger Side J/B (RHD). So you can remove it to disable this system.
Regarding the DCM Telematics Transceiver, it is under the Radio Receiver assembly. You need to remove radio first and then access transceiver.
As per attached illustration, #6 Passenger Side J/B and #7 DCM respectively.

ToyLexuss, thank you for your time and posting the additional information / diagram, with regard to accessing the DCM (Data Communication Module), used for Connected Vehicle Services (Enform & Driver Assistance).
Very much appreciated!

I gave it a shot and it looks like the DCM was successfully disabled after pulling the fuse. This fusebox is located under the glove compartment. After removing the fuse I pressed the SOS button and nothing happened. All other functionality seems intact, although I only took a ten minute drive with it disabled so far. I think traffic and weather data are pulled down via HD radio. This would mean that even though the vehicle cannot transmit information, weather and traffic displays are still working (likewise for GPS).

Update: I did it. Subscribed, pulled the fuse. It didn't work. It must phone home to check every single time.
Something just occurred to me: We should be able to subscribe to Enform, have remote start functionality (from the key fob) enabled, then pull the fuse and cancel Enform. They shouldn't be able to disable the functionality again. What do you think?

Reading reviews of the text that you link to as the reason you want to wipe yourself off the face of the Earth, and it doesn’t exactly back your claim.
I’m really interested, what are your views on the 5G communication standard 😂

"Reading reviews"? I don't know what this means. Is there an Amazon review of my post?

Your data can be used against you in ways you cannot fathom presently. And you have plenty to hide.

Exactly like I said. You linked to this book as a reason that we should be so protective over perfectly innocent actions like where we have been and what speed we have been doing. If I drove to work at 30mph then I can’t see how damning that will be. Basically my point is this whole thread is a bit overkill and it smacks of conspiracy theory wacko garbage.
