Exhaust valves
#78
So I tried to mod my stock exhaust as described in this thread but my car a 2021 convertible does not have the 2 connectors, it has 1 5 pin connector so i figured they changed the connector. I unplugged it and the car starts with the valves open but then quiets down even with the the plugs unplugged it seem to quiet down. Has anyone done this mod on a 2021, am i missing something?

Unplug any plug connected to the black valves. In my 2018 there were 2 plugs on each side (4 total). What you are indicating is there is only one per side on your model year so you would be removing one each side (2 total). Be sure to seal off the plugs just to keep clean for future re-attachment. Electrical tape applied properly would suffice.
Now go enjoy the Sport+ sound 100% of the time.

I got my LC last week and drove around for a few days with it. I know there isn’t a way to control them on command like the exhaust I put on my GSF previously but disconnecting them and leaving them open is the next best thing.
Just did this mod this morning, took about 15 minutes with most of the time making sure the plugs and connectors were properly wrapped with electrical tape.
The car sounds amazing now regardless of whether you are accelerating hard or not and very little drone with them open all the time at various RPMs.

Look at few posts up. if you have a 2021, there's two white plugs on each side. Unplug and tape up.

So i actually did this MOD today on my 2021 Convertible.
I did notice that exhaust is much louder on the low end, but now i'm not sure if its doing something funky on the upper end of the RPM range. Maybe the low end note is now causing me to think there is no higher end exhaust sound. But even at WOT, the car seems awfully quiet above ~4.5K RPM. So I may plug this back together.
