I agree with what some commenters here have said. I ran unplugged for a few months but switched back and I agree that the exhaust was louder and more muscle car like. However, the tone with higher throttle input is definitely different. It's not as pleasing and you lose the higher pitched waling tone which puts a grin on your face.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this.

Did this and have had a coupe of drives. Slightly different but barely. Might even be me convincing myself of it.

I thought about doing something with the exhaust, but I think the OEM system fits. This change seemed like a modest modification, but glad to hear that it changed the high rpm sound too. I will pass. Did a beast exhaust on my RCF, but planning to leave this one stock.

For the time being it is nice. Nothing to write home about though. Considered Akrapovic but I think it's way over priced.

Akrapovic has an exhaust system for the LC500? I know they didn't when I was initially doing my research for catbacks (before I ended up with Armytrix).

By spending over $10k for SS Exhaust and Tune, the car, the worst is the car stalled several times. For example it started the engine but will not able to put into DRIVE mode.

At the end, I swapped to AMG E43 but sound was not loud, not comfortable car to drive (suspension wise) and cannot be driven relaxedly. Hence LC500, other constraints is this time I like to keep the car as close to oem as possible, for Insurance purpose.

I still have another mod on Air Filter intake flaps on both sides to remain open all the time. This open up the sound even further. Let me know if anyone is interested. Cheers,

sorry to resurrect this, but how did you get the intake flaps to stay open all the time?
I did the muffler valves today and I like it a lot.

The intake valves are vacuum operated. The intake flap is common to the ISF, RCF and the GSF. Folks that have disconnected the vacuum line in other Lexus models have lost power. See this thread:

I have an LC on order and will definitely be pulling these exhaust fuses. I have a potentially silly question here but bear with me. How would one actually access the undercarriage, do you need a car lift or can you stick your head under there
