Just sold my LC500
Only drove it for 800 miles. Absolutely loved the car but with the country going into full lockdown next week, saw no point in having the car to just go drive it to the grocery store at whatever appointed time they mandate. Crazy times guys. Stay safe. Really bummed to have to sell it

Unless one needs the money because they're out of work, etc., I'm feeling completely opposite right now... Enjoying the empty roads much more, and I have more time with Elsy as I'm "working from home" full time. Gets me out of the house!

Same here, can't wait to license my sports cars out of winter storage and enjoying one of my greatest passions; driving without a destination.

I think the depreciation is definitely a concern when people purchase a car to have it for a couple of years and then trade it in.
When someone buys a car with the intention to keep it for more than 5 years then depr. is less of a concern.
This remind me a joke my boss told me about Corvette owners.
He said that many Corvette owners trade in the car when they face the first tire set replacement.
I think the joke applies to many high end cars. They are not cheap and they are not an investment...
They depreciate and are expensive to maintain. But what do people get in exchange ?
People get to own the car and enjoy having the experience...
That is my 25 cents...

I tend to agree. I think most people (and I emphasize "most") who buy higher-end cars (especially sports cars) have more disposable finances and aren't very concerned about depreciation. For some of us, this could be our last fun toy. My next vehicle could easily be a Hoveround.

My issue is that I've had a few "last" fun toys
My wife called me on that with the LC !
My strategy to convince her that it was OK was that I wanted a car that would not mess up her back. I was doing it for her !
She sat on the LC at the Lexus dealer and told me that the seat was good for her back.
That was it...
Its good she doesn't get on this forum !

Just out of curiosity, did you buy and sell it to the same dealer? Were they fair with pricing?
