Default Learn from my mistake

Hi everyone, I have sold my LC, but will admit I miss her. I always wanted to post this because I made a mistake that luckily worked out. I purchased the OEM rear carbon fiber spoiler to install myself. I had the Performance package with the movable rear spoiler. The two do not mix, but I was never told that by the dealer. So I laid down the template and drilled the holes. Did a test run and realized the spoiler sat directly over the opening of the rear spoiler. Oh s...t! Now I have drilled hoes in the rear deck. Can't stop now. I realized that I could pull the carbon fiber spoiler back a bit where it sat on the rear lip of the deck, and did not impede the movable spoiler. It was close, like 1 mm close. I drilled out new holes, but realized that now I could not bolt on the carbon fiber spoiler. I decided it would have to be silicone glued on. Took my time and made it look great. Moral of the story, do not trust your Lexus parts department, and get ready to improvise.

Here are some photos of the finished product.

Do you know whether the guy that bought your car left up the F badge you put there instead of the L?

Actually I made that from a piece of exterior grade carbon fiber wrap, and then a F logo sticker on top of that. I left it on car when traded in, do not know if still on car.
