Has anyone supercharged the LC 500

Based on my research and having asked around - no one yet. The issue thus far with the LC (as with many other Lexuses), is cracking the ECU. The other issue is finding a reliable after market tuner who'd be willing to spend the time on cracking that ECU, and doing R & D for such a low volume vehicle. I believe Boost Logic has been in the works for a SC, but nothing as of yet!

Unfortunately Boost Logic has been "working" on it for over two years. Either there has been no progress or they simply aren't working on it. I lean towards the latter. I have emailed RRracing on a few occasions and they have had no luck. I figure if anybody could be successful it would be them, considering their expertise in tuning other lexus models. Maybe one day we will be able to put a blower on the LC, but at this point I would settle for a good aggressive tune to liven things up a bit.

^^^^I also messaged RRRacing about the possibility of them adapting their Air/Oil Separator to the LC. They showed absolutely no interest.

Back in 2002, I supercharged my 1999 3rd gen 4runner with a TRD (Eaton roots type) blower. It was a 100% DIY bolt-on installation that simply replaced the existing intake plenum. It was driven by the alternator belt (lengthened and with a tensioner added)
I had a custom pulley machined (larger) to lower the boost from 6-7psi standard down to 5psi. While the power gains were reduced, it eliminated the need to do anything with the ECU or stock fuel system. Other than the S/C, my vehicle was 100% bone stock and had no spark knock issues. I installed the S/C at 30K miles and sold it 10 years later at 100K, all trouble-free.
Others who were using the stock pulley had to use higher octane gas, e.g. 93+ to eliminate ping. And then there were a few who installed a smaller-than-stock pulley to boost up to 9psi, but had to tune with an Apexi unit and swap out the fuel pump and injectors.
I now own a 2018 LC500 and am considering doing the same thing: getting an RC-F S/C kit but sizing up the pulley to lower the boost, such that the stock ECU and fuel system can handle it with no modifications. Thoughts?

I'm on the list for the first batch of kits when they are officially announced. No price yet because they are figuring out which materials and manufacturing processes they will use for production.

^^^^^^^That's interesting and exciting at the same time for the LC! I wonder if they are going to use a Rotrex type SC like what RR does for the ISF/GSF/RCF? Hopefully they don't price it into the stratosphere because it's a LC500

I haven't heard anything on pricing, but like you I'm hoping it's not a $25K kit.
