Hi all,

I just recently upgraded from an 07 IS 350 to the '18 LC 500, it's been a big jump!
Recently, I've been digging into exhaust setups and I am looking for a deeper aggressive exhaust note.
I think Armytrix accomplishes this, however, the price points are painful to the tune of ~$5k. I would like to see if owners have tried any inexpensive options or other brands I have not considered that get the job done.
I know PPE makes a muffler delete w/ midpipe (separately) for around ~$2k+, but it does not compare to Armytrix.
I also am aware of Tom's racing exhaust priced at around ~$3k+, which compares to Armytrix, but there are limited sound clips on this, so I'm not entirely convinced on the purchase.
If you have recommendations on any of the above mentioned or any products I have not mentioned, please feel free to share!

Sound clips don't always tell the true story. If it's just great sound you're looking for and not 'overly' loud, my opinion - just put on the Tom's Racing & don't mess with the mid-pipe or headers. For the price point it will probably get you where you want to be. Looks really good as well.

I was looking at PPE's dual mode exhaust, but I haven't seen any sound clips on only this mod, some people have FBO similarly like what you have done.
FBO option is too pricey for my goal.
However, will consider their axleback!

I agree, sound clips don't tell entire story. However, with the right shots (revs at idle, acceleration, WOT acceleration) it can help paint a picture or develop expectations.
Right, I'm not looking to alter mid-pipes/headers. The axleback does look nice on your vehicle, do you have any sound clips by chance?

Sorry - no. But the one from z8aku you have in your originating post is exactly that - no header or midpipe change with only the Tom's installed

Toms Racing, PPE Engineering, Armytrix, FI Exhaust, those are some of the popular exhausts for the LC. Theres other exhausts from Japan but take a while to get.
