The LC has always showcased what a true Lexus should look like.

^^^^I stopped reading when it was stated that the only carbon fiber was in the roof. That is simply not true

hi lou ! if you'd kept reading, you'd be amused by the writer's claim of " ...32.5-inches of legroom in the rear seats which is
more than what the corrolla offers." yeah, so the writer been smokin a couple illicit corronas too evidently in his very own corrolla !

Hi William.
Interesting article-can you make the correction as to what Lou pointed out on the carbon fiber roof?

My understanding is - there is no 100% carbon fiber on a base LC. The optional roof, optional door sills, and optional lower grille insert - are the only places where actual factory carbon fiber is used. The doors and trunk are a carbon-reinforced composite plastic material (not 100% carbon fiber), with aluminum skin. As far as I know - that's it for carbon on the LC. Please correct me if I missed something!

Also, don't forget the optional trunk spoiler.

I’d put the LC500 as one of the best Lexus made and it’s easily the best thing since the LFA. It’s been my favorite Lexus to drive.

He Lou - I didn't recall ever noticing the composite-carbon material on my active wing, so I just checked it and there isn't anything visible like on the trunk lid and doors. I suppose there could be some sandwiched in there, but that wing is pretty thin. I think my production date is about the same as yours (06/17). Can you check yours and see what you think? Where did you read the wing has this carbon material? I think the diagram you posted above only shows the inner trunk as having this material (and the outer skin as being aluminum).

The LS430 may be the best overall Lexus ever built.
