Wife’s birthday in coming in mid August, and she is looking at pearl necklaces at $2500-3000.......my biggest obstacle for now to get a new LC500..... lol....
LOL my best wishes to your wife and your potential lc500. Dont want to mislead you, but my trip is 50%freeway+ 50% city. Without the freeway, my driving style leads to 11mpg

That’s still not too bad.

Sorry, it may already been discussed somewhere... may I ask what’s the size of gas tank? I assume 20 gallons or so.

NVM, I googled 21.7 gallons. Shame on me, google took less time than typing to ask.....

Buy her the LC 500. I got our LC for my wife since I have a RCF, but I end up driving it 99% of the time. You get to drive it for gas, service appointments, and when the both of you go for a cruise and such. A win-win for the both of you.

Things might be tricky for me, I am 33, wife is approaching 33 within 27 days... we don’t have a kid now, may finally decide to get one in a year or so, we works at the same city but different districts.

Our main drive will be daily commute to work.... now, since wife saw a LC500 on screen, she is more into my next car selection game.....

my next car might be her daily commuter………
opposite to your story. Let’s see, but regardless, I am still go for a LC500. If we decide to move to Houston and buy a bigger house, I will get a cpo 2019, otherwise, a new 2021 LC500.

Most of the 26K miles on my 2018 LC are freeway/highway miles. It's a great road trip car. And I never check my mileage. Don't understand why folks do that or care on a car like this...

I honestly don’t care about the gas price, but I don’t like to go to gas station too much, or need to plan for multiple gas stops on interstate for a long trip.

However, according to what I read here, statistically, the mpg on highway/interstate is very good for a car like this. I will be satisfied I think.

Because of the 10 speed transmission, my mileage is a tick better than it was in my lighter ISF. And with the larger tank (16.9 vs 21.7) my range is substantially more

On another note. As posted above, Sport+ is too aggressive for me, so I don't use it. My ISF had three drive modes, Normal, Sport, and Snow. It only altered transmission characteristics. Normal was very lethargic, and I drove in Sport 100% of the time. I find Normal in the LC to be very close to what Sport was in the ISF. And I find myself using it more than Sport. I have not tried Eco, and probably wont. As I said above I have programmed the Custom mode as Normal for the powertrain and Sport for the suspension and steering. It works for me

btw, my insurance (State Farm) automatically drops from $256 to $96 for 2 cars since last month due to covid
Still the same coverage.....
That's interesting, my insurance bill from State Farm last month was $96 too, but I only have one car. I'm on the low mileage plan too. It was a pleasant surprise.

I just checked and since I live in the city, my mileage is generally not economical. My RC F tended to get worse mileage, probably because I drove it like an ape. I maybe averaged 15-17 MPG. The LC has a bigger tank, which is very convenient for road trips, but the mileage isn't super different for me, somewhere near 17 MPG on average.

Honestly, I'm very impressed with how efficient the IS F, RC F, and LC 500 can be on the freeway, but can switch to monkey mode with the flick of a switch. It's one of the reasons I love these cars. I do enjoy the balance.

If I had the space, I would have kept the IS F for regular driving, and the LC 500 as the garage queen.

complaining or even debating about mileage on an LC500 is like complaining the caviar is a touch too salty.

I was just wondering what other LC 500 drivers were getting, that’s all. I have never purchased a car on its gas mileage credentials. By the way my RCF is getting 19.4 mpg so far on its tank, LC slacking at 18.1!

Using your mileage figures (RCF 19.4 - LC 18.1) and assuming (on the high side) 10,000 miles a year driven, that damn LC is costing almost a whopping $95 more in gas a year!!!!

I'm starting to consider getting rid of my Gas Hog LC - - - - - - - -NOT!!!!

(just poking some fun)
