Lexus Adds TRD Options for the LC Convertible
#17
^ It's very common for Lexus and Toyota to offer accessories and performance upgrades through TRD. Many performance items are developed after the factory brochures are printed, and are thus marketed through TRD as they become available (rather than reprinting factory brochures). I may be wrong, but as far as I recall, only one of these lighter 21" wheels was available back around 2017. It looks like that same wheel is now offered in 2 different finishes, and they've added a second rim style.
Yes, you've stated many times that you think they're too narrow. I personally think the width offers a perfect balance of street performance and comfort for this car, and I'm happy to see that Lexus continues to offer performance options for those that like to customize. The nice thing about TRD items (as opposed to aftermarket) is - most Lexus/Toyota dealers will install them and warranty the product and the installation (I've read that some may refuse to install TRD - all my local dealers will install). From the perspective of installation and warranty, TRD items are considered to be the same as factory/OEM.

TRD has offered an alternative 21" wheel since 2017:

They aren't cheap. $6K - $13K depending on where you buy them. Example:

The 3 current optional 21" choices are shown on the TRD page:

^^^ thx for that info! I think i'd prefer the leather over alcantara for seats too. If alcantara were just called "plastic suede" it wouldn't be so popular.
