Interesting .... my brother-in-law has a black on black Ferrari California T. The dealers up here told him that he had to buy a used Ferrari since it was his first. So he flew to Miami, purchased a new one and shipped back to MD. CRAZY!

Correct. You cannot walk into a Ferrari dealer and just buy any new Ferrari. They don't care if you have a blank check in hand. They only give their new allotment to established clients.
They will make you buy a used one to establish the relationship....and then you have to usually sell it back to them at wholesale (more profit right there). It's a highly unique system and almost inexplicable to anyone who hasn't owned one.

mixed in the middle of all this is the European business mentality which is not the North American way. The differences are immense and too vast to discuss here.

haha.....like explaining to a newbie that the entire Ferrari production line closes for the entire month of August so everyone can go on holiday....
