You do not have to worry about rubbing when making U-turns. I am currently running a 10 inch wheel up front with a 275 tire and the only time I ever rub (it only rubs the fender liner mind you) is when I hit a big highway dip. I have never rubbed while doing a U-turn.

For what it’s worth, my car is lowered on coil overs. This would increase the chance of rubbing. At normal ride height you probably have nothing to worry about

I am running Vossen wheels, 9½" in front and 10½" in back with 255/40/21 and 295/35/21 Michelin PS4S. I belong to AAA and I carry a repair kit in the trunk, just in case

I am not lowered and don't rub. My offsets are more aggressive than stock.

Just replaced my Michelin rft With the Pirelli Pzero non run flats. Have 14k miles on a 2018 lc. My history with Rft is awful. Anything but as I feel after about 8000 miles car runs like a Sherman tank( my dad was tank commander in wwII). Very happy with ride quality now knowing pirelli tire won’t wear as long as Michelin’s

I put the staggered 21” tires on my oem wheels. Not sure what you mean about “what Pzeros?” The Front tires had foam adhered to the inside wall of the tire which I have never seen before and the Lexus service department hadn’t either

You stated you had PZeros. Pirelli makes many tires labeled PZero:

With the stock 21" wheels you have 8½" width in front and 9½" width in back. What size tires?

i've read those same articles / press releases. I've also read lexus ended up choosing bridgestones as preferred tires, so i'm not sure what's true or maybe it varies by region/country.

i've also seen dunlops on new lc's.

wonder why lexus uses 3 kinds?

are the dunlops the worst?

Sometimes it's an issue of availability (i.e. Michelin production is less than that for the particular car).

I recall reading some threads where the car manufacturer noted that xyz car could come with Michelin or zyx tires and then the posts would stack up saying I only want Michelins in the car.

So if i see an LC I want and it has dunlops say and I want michelins, do you think the dealer will swap to close the deal?

^^^^21s and a new car? If so, and the dealer has another new LC with 21s with Michelins he may!

When I bought my ISF, ran into the same scenario and the dealer did a swap. On the LC, the dealer had no donor, so no dice. On both I did not keep the stockers for very long anyway

Every dealer plays their own way

My understanding that run flat shouldn't be dismounted and remounted as casually as for regular tires (something about bead integrity I was told)

^^^^I in no way meant to uninstall and reinstall tires, but if the dealer has another car with Michelins he will dismount and mount the wheels from one LC to the other. Then register the TPMS sensors. Switching tires only, IMHO, would be silly

Right but i've not heard any negatives about the dunlops yet, but good idea lou about swapping wheel/tire combos.

how many miles when you swapped?

By the way, Lou, mine came OEM with Dunlop SP Sport Maxx - FYI
What did you think of those tires when new?
