ppf and ceramic coating...
i'm sure it makes a new car wonderful but if you have or are getting an LC did you or would you have one or both done?
it's not a small expense.

I can see why folks do one or both.
I am in the do neither camp.
I like my vehicles but am not in the compulsive about the car staying as good as or better than new group.
If I were to have something done, I would be more into the film as it does provide a protective skin to the paint.
I use a fantastic detailer, Chicago Auto Pros and they do a ton of these projects (plus lots of paint correction).

My favorite job was a frosted finish film on a new Ferrari 488, the results were visually special and the car was protected from end to end.

I had a stage one paint correction and ceramic coating applied upon taking delivery. It's looks stunning and is great for making hand washing easier. The coating rejects dirt, etc. For example bird poop doesn't stick to it the way it does an untreated clear coat. I highly recommend if the paint is part of the hobby for you.
I only ppf the carbon fiber scuff plates and roof, the paint I leave alone besides the ceramic coating. I personally can see a ppf film and I only want to see paint. Also love the feel of bare paint as well.
I chose gtechniq ultra for the coating and expel for the carbon fiber. Be aware, gtechniq ultra is not the most hydrophobic coating out there. It sheets as well as some beading but if you use a leaf blower to dry the car it drys with gloss for days. Looks amazing.
I still need to go back and have the windows and wheels coated. I had it scheduled but life keeps getting in the way.

I will be doing both when my convertible arrives in 2 weeks.
$695 for ceramic including the wheels
$1600 for full front, behind wheels, door edges in PPF
$425 for the best ceramic window tint, too.

ceramic coating is an investment to be considered. key, it keeps everything from sticking and a cleaner car for longer. for those that want to get introduced to the ceramic advantage invest 37.00 there abouts on reload by car guys. easy on easy off lasts up to 3-4 months and gives the slick wet look protection we all seek.
