Driving in the snow in Colorado with no mention of winter tires, saying they got up to 190 without noticing it

Default 2021 Lexus LC Convertible

It would appear our intrepid auto experts had the English/Metric switch set for Canada, eh?
A 190 KPH reading would indicate 118 MPH which would be impressive on its own.

you are indeed correct. You can’t get to 190 mph without noticing it in any car much less a soft top. The winds are violent at that speed. 190 kph is nice cruising speed. We’re it not for the snow nanny’s in this car they would not have been so cavalier about driving in an ice storm either especially with factory tires.

notice they called it a “she”
and plainly stated because it is “beautiful”

she=beautiful.... still

Plus the car won't do 190 mph (supposedly 168 max) and I won't be the one trying it.

I did close to 130 in the NSX one time and the car was like, this is fine, go faster.

It's fun to set the speedo for klicks and at 60 mph tell your passenger how smooth and quiet the ride is at 100...!

I got my Ferrari F355 Spider up to 161mph once on an open empty desolate highway......holy moly I got scared at that speed WITH the top down!!!!

it was scary how planted to the ground it felt.

I haven’t even topped 100mph yet in my LC 500 ‘vert.

The LC 500 doesn’t even feel like it is trying at 100

I got her up to 92mph simply accelerating onto a freeway. It felt solid.

I have had my girl at a steady 160-165 for about 6 minutes (you cover a lot of miles quickly) last weekend on highway 207(January 10th) while traveling back from a visit with some friends in Texas. Almost straight section of road - beautiful, cool and clear day on a Sunday morning with ZERO traffic. Of course, radar detector was on in case!! I never 'bumped' up against the electronic speed limiter.

It was uncanny how smooth and planted she felt, listening to the SiriusXM Classic Rewind channel. As I approached the outskirts of Panhandle, TX and reduced my speed to 90-ish it was amazing how slow it felt at that speed. Reset my cruise control to a snail-like 87 for the majority of the remainder of my trip home. This is truly a Grand Tourer in the truest sense.

the car has been tuned aerodynamically like an F 1 to keep it on all fours...that 160 must have really been awesome....almost topped out...do you recall what the tach read ?

Sorry - I don't recall but definitely nothing felt 'busy'. Truly amazingly smooth and confidence inspiring. I was in Normal mode by the way

My trip home was 398 miles. I got 25.4 miles per gallon. My average speed, including one quick stop for gas and a drive through for a burger and coke was 73 miles per hour. Nice little Sunday drive.
