Just bought a used 2018 Lexus LC 500 up in Portland (I live in northern Cal). I'm on my 4th generation RX 350 (2017), but find the infotainment system challenging, to say the least, on the 2018 LC. I have yet to fill it up with gas, but a dumb question. How do I set the odometer after each re-fill? Through the Info menu?
Also, the heating and cooling of the seats, but the steering wheel,is a challenge. Any suggestions? I realize you start with Climate Control etc.
Love the car, but just about everyone is not happy with the infotainment system. I have studied the manual (a waste of time) and find certain videos helpful.
A long learning curve. Any tips would be appreciated. Thx. Phil
Thanks for the tip. I will check it out. How do you like your LC 500? I hope to learn a lot from all you nice folks. Phil
the LC is all about the drive. the infotainment and controls ... not so much.
About seat/wheel heat/cool, i just use the climate concierge and let the car turn them on/off. Works great. I can't be bothered to futz with the screen controls. If cooled seats come on when i don't want, i push the temp control up a degree or two. Done.
Congrats on your purchase Prapaport. Its new technology, enjoy it play with it you'll get it! You got thru the Commodore 64 right! . Drive it in good health.
Thanks for the encouragement on the Infotainment system. Eventually I'll get it. Commodore 64 is going back a few years. When I graduated from the University of San Francisco in 1972, I went to work for Hyatt. They had not yet opened their new hotel in SF, the Hyatt On Union Square (now called the Grand Hyatt). The hotel was the first totally computerized hotel in the country and it ran on an NCR system. I started at the front desk and it was a mess, nothing but bugs. I was diligent to document those bugs so they could fix them. We called NCR Never Completely Reliable instead of National Cash Register. For my work, NCR asked me if I would like to join them around the country installing their new system. I said No Thanks.
