Does he really own an LC? How do you know? And I completely agree with you in that he's one of the more transparent reviewers out there, not trying to please every single manufacturer.

I used to use the same detailer (they changed their business model and ditched folks like me that just want an occasional wash).

When I brought my LC to get a quote on film for the CF doorsills ($420, pass) the person at the shop was telling me about the parking lot donut party he had sitting shotgun with Savage Geese as he whipped his LC around at their shop last year.

I believe he said he leased one, but either way he's still put hard earned cash down showing how much he likes it which is a huge endorsement. Exhaust Sport Auto (Kevin) also leased his. Car's probably more than paid for itself in youtube views.

In a sedate commute or trip, for sure it's not important. But if one appreciates handling, it's awesome.

now i do think the motorized rear wing is pretty pointless unless one is driving on the autobahn or a track!
The LDH w/rear steer is there to help the chassis feel and allow the car to feel more agile despite the weight. The GA-L chassis itself was already good from the beginning as well as the new N platform which the 4th Gen GS sits on. Imho it's a waste. The LC is being used at the Lexus Performance Driving School to showoff the car's overall balance and amazing sounds. The LC is not a track car but it can hang. All it needs is a proper transmission oil cooler and stickier tires and it will do the car wonders.

Chief Engineer Sato did a great job with LC, and he was the deputy CE for 4th Gen GS. Driving feel and handling were one of his core objectives with these cars. He got it right...and which is why he is now the President of Lexus International.

On a side note, the LC's AGA0E 10 speed AT is awesome on the track. I got to experience this recently at COTA. In full auto mode, the G-AI shift control will recognize the deceleration condition and blip the throttle when downshifting. When you're slowing down into a corner and you brush the brake pedal, the trans will respond and downshift at the right moment. I tried several laps in full auto mode and in manual modes and was impressed that the transmission logic behaves like the FR-S/86's transmission. It's responsive and lively. None of the F models with the AA80E 8AT do this including my 2020 RC F. This was a wish list item I had for Yaguchi on RC F, GS F and with CE Kobayashi on the IS 500 F SPORT Performance. It would be awesome if they can implement it in time on the IS 500, but it probably won't happen.

^^^^Agree, my only complaint with the engine/transmission combo - I can not longer trail brake When the ECU recall was engineered for the ISF, I refused it. Over the years in my migration from manual to automatic transmission, I have become a person who trail brakes in some situations. Not being to do this on the LC has caused me to alter my habits I am also brake with my left foot.

I know the reason the throttle/brake engine shutoff was engineered into Lexus automobiles, but other manufacturers have not followed suit and I find it intrusive.

agreed, the AT AI is fantastic.
i've experienced this directly during several forced panic stops; the AT AI downshifts audibly down thru the gears so that the revs are high when you're ready to give it the gas again, and punctuated by an occasional bark from the mufflers...

interesting. i respectfully disagree but not saying the lc500 without LDH isn't great already.

my car doesn't at all feel its weight... it feels nimble and almost go kart like steering.
