Thanks Lou, has to be mostly convertibles because there have typically been only about 50 new coupes available in the US recent months

I wish they broke the LC category down to Coupes/Verts sold!

Why the sales increase over last year? COVID moderation, rebates?

^^^^ The convertible is bringing in new buyers that is resulting in added sales in both the convertible and the coupe.

the convertible. not only was it a great addition, but it's garnered hugely positive reviews and press.

Fortuitous

Convertible hits the ground when high earners jackpotted from the financial markets surging and folks looking for a happy cocoon to wrap themselves in while getting out of their homes

Lexus has shifted production to making more Convertible over Coupes for upcoming production, and for good reason.

ye$ the rea$on i$ pretty $imple. i might have gone for a convertible if they'd offered the dynamic handling package for it.

LOL. he LC 500 has a great chassis, to the point I really think rear steer is pointless. Even the 4th gen GS had a great chassis, rear steer is pointless on that car too.

SavageGeese has reviewed the car a few times

From what I saw from him, he did prefer the car with the handling package, making it more of a driver’s car

Everyone has their preference in how the car feels. Journalists will say anything to get more cars to review.

SavageGeese is a local guy and is more about getting to the truth about the cars he review than most folks

He owns an LC 500

so as a "lexus connoisseur" you think lexus wasted money developing and building the rear steer system? And having every car at the performance school have the package?

In a sedate commute or trip, for sure it's not important. But if one appreciates handling, it's awesome.

now i do think the motorized rear wing is pretty pointless unless one is driving on the autobahn or a track!
