Default Convertible top maintenance

I have a new lc500 I am picking up this week. I have never owned a convertible before. Can you experienced folks give me some advice on how to best care for the canvass roof. The car is being ceramic coated but I don’t think they are doing anything with the soft top. Thanks

303 makes a great cleaning product for soft tops.

You might want to put their water repellent spray protectant on it, too, if you are ever going to leave the car in the rain.

Great question. I just got some products from Chemical Guys. A protectant, cleaner, and a soft top specific brush.

I wonder what it comes with from the factory.

the chemical guys kit was the one I have been considering. Their products are usually pretty good. My first convertible so I was thing some folks might have some experience I don’t have. I have read that there are water based products and oil based.

Picking up the new LC from PPF and ceramic tomorrow. Yes pretty excited. Only been a few days but separation anxiety is real.

Stopped by today and checked on things, asked the fellow who did the film about the soft top. That sand color looks great, but what a target out in the real world!

He said that Xpel has a ceramic spray for cloth roofs, he’ll be putting it on. “Something like Scotchguard”
