Default Lc500 is here

Picked it up yesterday. All I can say for now is wow. I will post a more detailed review later but for now we are just loving the sound. The start up sound is music. Getting on the pedal while driving it is wow and more. This car is well,,,,mind blowing.

Just a guess, but it looks like we're around the same age (I'm 74, my wife is 68), and we have the same smiles on our faces. Have you driven it at night yet? The interior lighting effects add an additional magnitude of wonder.

Be safe and enjoy it. We certainly are.

I am 69 and my wife is 65 so close. I have had a lot of very nice cars but just looking at the LC500 makes me smile. The startup sounds makes me grin like a teenager who just borrowed his Dads new car.

Nice! Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm.

Might I suggest putting it in manual and tooling around.

You may not need a bit of help but don’t hesitate to inquire here about changing the myriad of settings or whatever else comes along.

We have been using the manual mode a lot. The car can really bark. Not sure which sound I like the most down shift or up shift. I avoid the rev limiter as I have trouble believing hitting the limiter is ok. Car is plenty fast enough without max rpm.

I’m playing with the idea of using that revlimiter, I mean, how much is “reasonable”?

Well obviously no amount of playfully hitting the rev limiter in public areas is “ok”.

But still, it does sound pretty cool, in some desperate way. It just comes up fast, hard to completely avoid.

I do like the rev limiter sound but it scares me a little

Me too, but no way I can resist playing around with it a bit. At least have it in my vocabulary if the right time to use it arises.

Plus, and this is big. We need to be skilled to be able to shift just short of redline, just part of the game.

I cringe every time i hear a reviewer banging off the rev limiter multiple times.
there's nothing to be gained by doing it. You certainly don't go any faster.
i certainly don't mind revving the car though... i let the shifting do its thing... on full throttle it shifts right around redline anyway.

beautiful picture! i think that's the first time i've seen caramel with silver and it works! maybe even better because it's a convertible and the light on the interior makes it look lighter.

anyway, congrats and enjoy this wonderful car with she who must be obeyed.

This car looks to be carved from a solid piece of magical metal.
