Default Atomic Silver - satin PPF?

Wondering if anyone has seen a matte wrapped Atomic silver on any Lexus's.

I'm probably going to ppf my entire car, and was thinking I would choose the Suntec Ultra in Matte. Not sure how it's going to look on Atomic silver.

Here'

Here's one in matte. Not a fan of matte personally.

Why not wrap it in about 5 years when the paints' nature lustre begins to oxidize?

That's an interesting wrap. I'm going to ppf the whole car, so that is why I'm considering going matte.

Matte Atomic Silver would be interesting to say the least. Hard to tell how it'd look. All I can say is that matte black, silver, white look really good. Especially the black, as it would give it a "batmobile" aura to it....

you mean, someone would spend over a hundred grand on a car with a unique finish, and go glue an "applique" over the paint ?
mayco could give you a pretty good job with some latex paint fer a lot less there skippy...

I wouldn't knock anyone for wanting to wrap their car. Personally, I wouldn't do it BUT you just have to appreciate anyone who's spent 100K on a car with what appears to be an outstanding paint job who wants to cover it up. That's a BADD man IMO!

Thanks guys for the input. But even though I do love Atomic Silver, literally everyone here drives an Atomic silver Lexus. Im definitely not wrapping it with a different color. I'm just going with a Matte PPF for the entire car. Looking at Atomic silver, in some lighting conditions it does look matte (friend has one). I think a Matte Silver Atomic finish is going to look awesome.

Did you end up doing it? Thinking of the same thing, wonder if you can share some pics?

No, i ended up getting a white vehicle and didn't do the matte wrap, I still think it would have looked amazing. The shape of the LC would look sweet in Matte finish.

Typically when you go satin or matte, you lose some of that pop and depth in the color especially with the pearls and metallics since you are reflecting less light. Atomic silver and infrared have a very nice depth and candy effect to them. So you are going to lose that effect at least to an extent if I were to guess. You can't go wrong either way though imo. I personally love satin and matte finishes.

I think you can expect something similar to this except this has some blue hues in it.

From what I see locally, every other car now has a 'matte/satin/ finish. Soon it will be like white cars, everyone has one. Those who are different, will be different....

Perhaps you can ask the installer to try a scrap piece on some part of the car to see. Full body PPF is a lot of money and you want to like what you’re getting.
