by 'CF lower' are you referring to a piece that goes below the grill there inside the chromed part? if so, does that require the bumper to be removed to install? if not, how hard was it to install!? thanks for any insight! and looks great.

Yes, it is a CF "insert".
Both are duck soup to install. Just make sure the mating surface is clean, WINDEX works great.

I probably wouldn't mention that $2200 each part to the tire installer. (Though a good one would probably have a good idea already.)

Hey Folks - I took delivery of my 2023 Ultra White over Black, fully loaded LC in mid-March. I've been an amateur detailer for a few years and was looking forward to tackling the LC. The condition of the paint was what I expected - a moderate amount of blemishes (minor scratches, swirl marks, sanding marks) that needed to be removed via paint correction. I chose a 2-stage correcting process based on experience, thus compound followed by polish. I was surprised by the condition of the CF roof - it required a lot of work to get it dialed in. The wheels and interior were in perfect condition from the factory.
Below is the process and products I used.. My YouTube mentors are "Pan the Organizer" and Matt Moreman of "Obsessed Garage." I highly recommend their YouTube channels if you'd like to learn more about detailing.
Wheel/Tire Washing - P&S Brake Buster diluted 1:10 and applied using a Marolex pump sprayer. My cleaning tools are a Microfiber Madness Incredibrush, EZ Detail brush, and Detail Factory tire brush. I use microfiber cloths and detail brushes to clean the wheel faces and lug nuts.
Car Washing - Carpro Descale. This is a slightly acid wash used for pre-detailing.
Chemical Decontamination - Carpro Iron X. The car paint was relatively free of industrial fallout and iron particles but the wheels were highly contaminated.
Mechanical Decontamination, aka claying - I use a clay towel with a dilution of Optimum No Rinse as the clay lube. This step added little value to the paint but did smooth the glass surfaces.
Drying - EGO leaf blower.
Compounding - Jescar Correcting Compound, McGuires Microfiber Cutting Pads, and I have an older Porter-Cable dual-action polisher. With the exception of the hood and roof, one compounding step did the trick. The hood required 2 steps and as mentioned above, the CF roof needed 4 compounding steps to pop. This is my first car with a large section of CF so I don't know if this is typical or not.
Polishing - Sonax Perfect Finish, Rupes Medium Polishing Pads (yellow color), and the Porter-Cable. One polishing step for the entire car was all that was needed.
Polish oil remover - Carpro Eraser.
Car Ceramic Coating - GTechniq Crystal Serum Light topped with Exo V4.
Wheels and Calipers Ceramic Coating - GTechniq C5.
Tire Shine - Carpro PERL diluted 1:1.
Interior Alcantara - Dr. Beasley's MicroSuade (Alcantara) Cleanser and Protectant.
Interior Leather - Colourlock Mild Leather Cleaner and Leather Shield.
Carpeted Floor Mats - 3M Scotchgard Auto Fabric and Carpet Water Shield.
All-in this took around 24 hours spread out over a week. IMHO it turned out very good, not great. There are some areas that could have used additional compounding using an alternate compound/pad combinations to achieve a flawless finish, but I get burned out after too many hours of this stuff.
Anyway, hopefully this was helpful to those of you considering detailing your vehicles. There's a lot of satisfaction (and cost savings) doing it yourself.
