Had the 1 week follow-up visit with my PPF guy in VA. He does a great job. Also, finished up 1 detail which we left out. The carbon sills received the PPF treatment. Durin the first PPF, he didn't have any matt finish PPF since the carbon sills on are part wet and part dry finish. We wanted to retain that look while simultaneously protecting it. It turned out great! Majority of the sills are matt, and the wet finish section was applied with glossy PPF.

We also made sure that any and all piano black trims & high touch areas inside the cars were all PPF-ed or ceramic coated.

Something to think about for those who can't stand hairline scratches on piano black finishes. Also those carbon sills are $$$$$$$. It's a great idea to protect them.

Just picked up my new LC last night.CPOed 2021 sport package. Traded in my 22 Supra. Glad to be back in a Lexus, coming from past 2 ISFs, an RCF and a GSF.

I also came from a GSF. In the 2UR GSE line-up the LC is Goldilocks, not softest or hardest but just right. Congrats!

I'm PPFing my carbon sills in the spring. Do you recommend gloss or matte PPF for them?

Both. that’s how i did mine. On my car, carbon sill is 2-tone. wet & dry. my dry portion (majority of the sill) is wrapped in matt to preserve the beautiful dry carbon. section that is wet, i used glossy. turned out beautifully and preserved the original looks.

Yeah i see that, thanks. Just wasn't sure if you preferred one over the other, I'm still debating which one I would go with if I don't go two-tone..

I have full custom suntek PPF including windshield, carbon door sills also ppf’d and 70% 3M crystalline all around. And since interior is light color, it is coated for protection (for easy cleaning) as well.

Also have front and rear BlackVue 970X professionally installed.
