Beautiful! My spec looks to be similar to yours, but USB 2.0. Hoping to get it by early July. White/blue interior, darked out chrome trim, IS wheels, and carbon roof, right?

Yes plus the other odds and ends extras. Once they finish cleaning and prepping it it's off to get a full body matt PPF and ceramic coat and then ... vroom vroom I must say ..., this car looks 100% better in person than in pictures.

I got my LC from an indy place, famiy run, in Charlotte, NC (Carolina Auto Warehouse). I'm about 600 miles away. Once I had a contracted price I liked, at the pandemic start, they actually dropped the price a few thou.
I had already booked my flight and asked them if they wanted a deposit or what. The son of the owner went and asked his Dad. They said usually just seeing my boarding pass would be fine but they had someone about 60 miles away Begging them to buy the car. Due to that they ask if I'd give them a thou deposit. Of course I did. They even gave me a full tank of gas, that's closing in on $100 right there.

@zissis - if you've done the matte PPF. Mind posting a pic? Curious how it turned out and your thoughts.

The installer is backed up for 2 months but once it's done I will post pics and thoughts about it. This installer is highly specializes and does 2 million dollar cars every month. He did mention that it will never be a 100% coverage deal with mat and there will be a few super minor corners that will have maybe a half millimeter or full millimeter of gloss poke through. He said if you inspect the whole car very closely you will know it is ppfed but if you walk up to it and look at it you will not tell. Obviously if I went with normal gloss ppf you would not see the difference. I will post detailed pics when it is done.

That's good to know. I'd appreciate them managing your expectations accordingly and appreciate you telling me. My big question is whether I go for a gloss or matte CLEAR PPF on my USB 2.0, or if I choose a third option of a different colour. I'd really like to try the matte but don't have a reference point of before/after. The guy I'm looking to do the work will hopefully have some clear matte PPF we can apply on a panel.

Well ... here is the difference ... if you go with super clear ppf like stek there is no issue of cloudy .. now that said, if I don't have an inspiration series (I wanted one but no more are available this year), and if I want to go matt AND I want a full car ppf it makes sense. Repainting the whole car to matt will easily cost 10k or so and it's permanent with NO paint protection. Doing a professional full body mat ppf will also cost about 10k or so but I have not repainted the car, get the same result, and also have paint protection. If I repaint and add matt ppf it will easily get to about 20k. So with a gloss car if you care about paint protection and you want it matt a matt ppf over gloss makes sense. As an added bonus you can also go back to gloss any time you want to. By the way, you also ceramic coat on top of the ppf. Ceramic coating does NOT protect your car from rock chips. It just provides a hydrophobic layer and some UV protection. Also, Ceramic will not get you a matt finish. Regardless of matt or not, PPF with ceramic on top is the way to go unless you don't mind rock chips when you go vroom vroom.

U lost me at $10K to $20K,,,if I have a gorgeous factory paint job with ceramic on it and it gets a few rockchips(i dont care/majority of people have no idea of chips on their own car)\
I have a $100K car, looks excellent.....why spend all the $$$ for ppf when it really doesnt matter. This is my last post on THIS matter.
