Thumbs down Seat Damage

Guessing I already know the answer to this question but thought I would ask just in case. Already scratched my driver seat (see pictures). Any ideas on how to fix?

Yikes. One of my biggest fears here.

You can buy a new cover (not cheap)….or you can have a good upholstery shop dye it. Or, if you’re feeling mechanical you can dye it yourself. Not sure where you could procure the dye though.

I bought a new cover for a BMW, and a Lexus. I dyed the bolster myself on my Ferrari. I got a factory-matched color from http://leatherique.com

You mean a new factory cover replacement? Not a seat cover right? Not sporting no gungy beads or sheep skin look I prob should have put on some type of seat cover but the seats look too damn good to hide.

Sorry to see that! May i ask how it happened?
some leather cleaner may well largely hide that by making it less noticeable.

Works for me in more out of the way areas.

I had a mobile repair outfit come over once for my C5 Vette. And they did their thing, which was some sort of color process. $80 as I recall. Forgot about it until you mentioned it.

You can get that repaired. Stop by an upholstery shop.

a little shoe polish of the same color, very lightly applied, let it dry, buff it .... good to go.
maybe next time take the tool out of the back pocket first.

look for people who do interior recon or upholstery stops. they usually lightly sand it and respray the color. will look like new. or bring it to your dealer if you cant find someone, they usually have someone they subcontract with.

Most likely a FibreNew franchise near you, give them a call, I’ve seen some work they’ve done on leather seats/bolsters and it looks great

The 'Relentless Pursuit of Perfection' is gonna kill us all. I too try to keep all things in pristine condition. But as hard as I try, 'dooky' happens!
