Default Low Oil warning

Any one experience a low oil warning with a new motor, my 2021 Vert with only 2200 mile needed a quart and a half of oil. Bring it in to Lexus to check it out i cant see any leaks.

That doesn't sound good. I checked mine at 400 miles and it was at proper level.
hopefully it was just an underfill from factory.

In the last Savage Geese video on the LC500, a message came across the screen that said some of the engines will go through oil, and it was relative to how the engine was broken in.
It said, the engines that were broken in gently tended to utilize more oil than the engines that were broken in hard. I am not sure if this relevant to your situation as you only have 200 miles on the odo but thought I would just put it out there.

I made a mistake typing the millage it is 2200 but still not many miles. I Broke the engine in by the book and then started having fun. I would say I am a moderate driver. A little bit of cruising a little bit of ripping around .

Close to 25K miles here and I have not had to add a drop between oil changes - and I check fairly regularly. I'm betting underfilled at the factory. Check regularly for the next couple thousand miles and let us know what you find.

that actually makes perfect sense. I have always believed in breaking in an engine hard, it seals the rings.

I too had to top off my oil at around 4,000 miles. I do drive my in manual often, at high revs and lots of down shifting (for the sounds). It's common in my other high performance Ms and AMGs cars that I would often need to add oil in between oil changes if I'm driving them hard. I don't see any reasons to worry about it here if you are really pushing these cars.

Porsche, too. LoL.

Porsche here in Scottsdale literally keeps oil with the service valet guys so you can pull up to the normal service drop-off area and they can top you off without an appt or even having to pull around back.

Lol omg that's hilarious. I was quiet surprised when I heard about this story, the last time I bought a BMW was in 1998. Then my inlaws told me all their bmw came with a qt of oil. 2015 we purchased a BMW and we finally had to use a little bit of oil when we sold it earlier this year.

This has been discussed several times before on this forum on every Lexus with this engine. I had the same issue when my car was brand new. I had to add oil twice before I was due for my first oil change. As per the drivers manual, oil is lost due to engine being brand new and excessive idling. I cut back on my idling and my car has had a couple oil changes since new. The oil has always been at the full line since the first oil change. Dont worry about it all and just be careful not to watch entire movies on the DVD player as I did.

keep in mind that an LC parked on a steep inclination to the right might trigger a low oil warning too - did mine once: no bfd ...

In my case this was only true if oil level was already mildly low and then incline triggered it. If it's at the normal level then no amount of incline will trigger it.
