2022 Lexus LC: What's New and Notable?
#47
Interesting discussion, all. I’m considering ordering a bespoke LC.
I don’t mind waiting 6 months as I need to sell a couple cars to make room in any event. Will call the sales rep I worked with at Lexus of Seattle to see what the scoop is. He was a straight shooter with me on that deal.
Kind of disappointing bespoke isn’t really bespoke ala Porsche but then again paying an insane amount for things like a leather surround for where you insert the key is kind of crazy too.
Getting old so I’ll be selling my 911 for the LC.

Right now is a good time to sell any car but especially 911 as they have really gone up for any version.
I’m keeping my 911 but considering trading in my M3 for a custom ordered LC coupe. Its disappointing that there is no special colors offered - really wanted a medium Blue.
Anyone have info if LC will still exist for 2023MY?

I don’t know anything but I think LC sells well enough and have good reputation that it will continue to live on.
Whether the V8 NA engine will probably won’t be produce any longer.

Agreed. Especially when I don't think they mas produced any 2022s.... Its all orders.... Likely after this there will be a price drop on the car and a v6 turbo or something idk.

When I started to look at the LC500 earlier this year the dealer was not sure if the V8 was going to be replaced with a turbo V6 for 2022. Was happy to hear that the V8 will live on for at least another year in the 2022 models. I am ordering my coupe this week. Being told it will be about 4 months before I see it which is fine since it will be winter here with lots of snow I am sure. An early spring arrival would be perfect.

Now that I think about it, V8 will probably exist for same period as the IS500 and RCF are made. So since IS500 is new for 2022MY, I assume it will live for at least 1 more model year. Not sure when RCF will be killed off.
Either way I think LC500 will be a special car for years to come as it was made in so few quantities compared to competitors. To me it’s overlooked like the LFA was until it was too late.

Looking at the '22 LC500 convertible, I would also like to see the 360 camera and all wheel drive. I guess the designers decided that 'Topless Owners' do not need the extra options to buy.

Not electric, as the battery tech is not there yet. A High Pro V-6??? Might be good with all wheel steering and no top.
