LC Lover Review
I read quite a few reviews of the LC coupe and vert. Thought this one was pretty cool and more unique. I know we had a thread for reviews but couldn't find it. Moderators may want to move it but if not take a peek.

Enjoyed the article. At 70 and 5 years retired from a blue collar job, was always a better spender than a savor, yet managed to have acquired a few toys along the way, I was in no position to ever consider a car such as the LM w/out selling most toys. Upon the urging of my son, I invested a little money, first time investor, left to me by my dear brother, and I do believe it will be paying off soon. Depending on how it pays off will be the deciding factor as to whether it is a 2018 or a 2022. I have been looking at other vehicles, 2 being performance suv's, a later year C7 or a C8 and the LM. I always like to have something that not everybody else has, so the corvette is out of the picture and the LC is the front runner right now. It will more than likely be my forever car, left to a grand child when my driving days are over.

I always liked to spend more than save as well. Figured you can't take it with you when your dead We may be related lol. Congrats on your investment. Funny because I almost ordered the C8 but after driving it in Las Vegas I just didn't like how it drove and was very hard to enter and exit. Had a very stuffy feeling inside. The LC is much more comfortable and practical (as you can get for these types of cars). I did order a AMG GT but again after sitting in it I got my deposit back. Too racey and tight. Another factor some may not realize is that cost to own (mostly maintenance) is much less on a LC. I had 3 previous Benz's and every 10k service I was paying an average of $350 per visit. Mostly for an oil change. And they aren't nearly as reliable as Lexus. In my opinion the only deciding factor in getting in LC is what color

How true, I will try and have as much fun as humanly possible w/the money I may receive. Not sure on color yet, white w/dark rims can be beautiful, light silver and the red is growing on me a little. I live 1.5 hours east of Minneapolis/St.Paul, I will have to travel to get a car, sounds like the makings of a great road trip return.

I also canceled an order for a C8. Instead I bought a '55 Nash Metro convertible(long story). Definitely do not see one on every corner like the Vettes(have owned 3).
Saw the first LC convertible in show room while ordering an RX450h for my wife. Now I am researching Cert. Used vs New to get as soon as I sell the Nash Metro. I think I may have to take a few $'s out of savings to cover the difference in cost between Nash and LC. Hope my little investment account will survive, likely better than I will.

A late C7 Grand sport or a C8 are on my short list of vehicles I am considering. But as you said, they are on every street corner... I like having a car that you don't see on the road everyday. I am driving my winter beater at this time but in the garage, hibernating are 4 motorcycles, my '71 C10, chopped top and lowered, have owned for 25 years and my '17 Cadillac Cts Vsport.. I love cars and motorcycles, sadly you can only use 1 at a time.

I have ordered a C8 Z06. But as I'm not willing to pay markup I'm approx order #4500 at one of the few dealers selling at MSRP, so it's probably going to be a couple of years, which is fine. Maybe by then I can keep the LC and the C8. Local dealers wanted $50k over MSRP.

Yeah, I was close to pulling the trigger on the C8 a few months ago. Thought process was to buy the C8, and sell my C6 vert, and then use the money from my C6 and fix up my 2004 SC430. Basically, customize it a little, with new paint, brakes, suspension, etc. Interior is still almost like new.
I really like the C8. But, is the C8 really worth $70K more than my C6 ? That was the question and for a car that is only a Sunday car. The C8 was going to be a garage queen too. Maybe 2K miles per year at most. But, the LC will be an every day car except in rain or snow. I have a AWD Venza to help me out there.
But, now I will keep the C6, sell the SC430 and buy the LC. I guess someone could ask is the LC really worth $80K more than my SC430. Yeah, it is
