Infrared paint detailing
This color is like a 'candy' color, is it safe to use a clay bar before using a carnuba wax?
The manual says no chemicals, what about Mirror Glaze products and Sealants, has anyone used these safely?

The infrared is basically a silver undercoat, then a clearcoat, a red coat, and a final clearcoat. Thats what I read from the lexus press info on this colour. Based on this alone i would treat it no differently from any other paint on any other car since it operates the same way (only with more layers)

@RiverFred - state of the art in detailing has changed a lot - take a look into ceramic options and paint correction options at the same time

I have the Infrared, IMO, all colors are great in the LC family and I would go with the Ceramic coat Sio2 Silica with glass like properties. The old days are just that, in the past.
It will be a few bucks because all the labor is in the prep and is worth it. nothing sticks easy maintenance and u will be asked what u r using on the paint, because it POPS, period. I use Car Pro products and they are in the top 5 for this type technology. You will be pleased.

I had an El Camino "Wet Sanded". The difference was amazing!! Trying to find someone to prep my '06 Jag Xk8 with wet sand before doing a Ceramic coating.
For an LC, it would be almost a requirement to do this to protect the paint. What is $2000 paint prep for a $120,000 car?
