Exactly, and now heading well north of that figure. European governments really do not like the automobile and dream up all sorts of ways to relieve you of your driving licence.Just seen and driven along the first (for me) 10 mph zone. No schools, no footpaths, no bike lane, the clearest view imaginable, lit at night, so why? Won't be long before they stick a camera there, ker ching, ker ching, it's all about safety you know. yes, nanny, we believe you........!

to be honest, i dont think the Hybrid is all that bad. I dont even think any of us tried the hybrid before dismissing it and going straight for the V8.

^^^^I don't think anyone is saying it's bad. That and EVs are the future However, I chose the 2UR because of my experience with it in my ISF, I specifically wanted an NA V8, I could get headers and exhaust for the LC, it's reliability, and it's sufficient power. The hybrid did not check any of those boxes for me.

I think, most typical LC owners, at this point in our lives, are a little less sensitive to the price of gas. Sure, its going up, but I don’t think it would keep us from driving this car.

H owner here. For me, the fuel efficiency isn't about the price of gas as opposed to reducing the amount of trip to the gas station I'd need to take with the enhanced range.... Saving time, which I value more, than money. She's a grand touring, not a sports car so the v8 (granted sounds great), wasn't as high as priority for me. For the daily city driving I normally do plus California freeway traffic, I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the v8 top end much anyways. However, I do feel that electric engine instant torque at every light which is highly enjoyable. Additionally, if you're going to get a hybrid... no one has had more time and engineering in the technology than Toyota.
