Horsepower Increase for LC 500

Horsepower increase
I have a 2018 LC500, I purchased the module to have a remote on the exhaust to open or close at will. I ordered the one that was programmed open and you have to push the remote to close it. I do not ever need to change the exhaust as I love the sound so much, and it does seem to have a better response all the time. Just fyi....

NCLC500 can you send the model and mfg on the remote module, Thank you. Sound and response is better?

Make sure yours is not a 24 model. On 24 models, this doesn't work yet becuase apparantly Lexus has relocated or removed the connectors in the trunk for this to work.

I bought the module and I love it. To be honest I just keep the valves open 24/7 now so there's no real need to buy the module if you plan on keeping them open all the time. You can just disconnect the wiring that controls the valves and call it a day. I guess it is nice to have the remote if you want to close them or have the car control them as normal. There are 3 settings...open, closed and oem car controls the valves.

I believe the unit has the following modes (set by the dip switches on the main unit).:
1. Alway On
2. Always Off
3. Remember Last Settings
4. Stock (press and hold the remote for 2 seconds) - not sure about this, but I saw this online somewhere.
Once these switches are set, you use the remote to override.
If they don't make one for the 24 models soon, I may just do a valved cut-out install from a quality maker. I love the stock exactly the way it is. I have a straight-piped full titanium exhaust on my Porsche, and it can get really loud sometimes even with the valves closed. I love the idea of being able to open it up fully and get right back to stock settings when on a freeways. But before I go this route, I need to see some dyno results. I hear you lose a lot of power when the cut-out valves are closed due to the airflow turbulence.

asong did u install? Difficult?

My brother attempted to install it on my LC as a Christmas present. That's how I learned about it. It's very simple, but we found out that it does NOT work on the 2024 models. All other models are fine. Here is is the video. Basically just intercepts 2 plugs in the trunk and you're done. ONLY on the 2024 models, the 2 aforemetioned plugs are not there. Lexus has either changed the wiring on the 2024, or relocate them to where we can't easily get to from the trunk. So we had to send our unit back. But video is very straight forward, and everyone reviews them very highly.

It's not difficult to install the valve module. There is one plug that is extremely difficult to reach. You need to squeeze your hand into a very tight spot to connect it. I probably spent 10-15 minutes alone trying to get that one piece connected and I have fairly thin hands. Dropped plenty of F bombs in that period of time. LOL Worth it in the end though.
FYI.....IMO the exhaust sounds in his videos sound way more extreme than what I hear in my car. I think he had the mic placed next to the exhaust while he was recording.

@TunedbyLoi has a tune for the LC500. Pricey but if you put headers and exhaust, it'll probably give you at best 45 extra HP. He also does transmission tunes for it so the gearing would be quicker. He is the only one for now that tunes the LC500
