Good luck, let us know if you discover something.
I too, have been unable to locate any evidence to support that a key card would work with the 2018, 2019 LC's. A search on the FCC ID only pulls up replacement Key Fobs and not having a key card is good enuf for me.

Any new info on getting one of these to work? I can't seem to find the FCC info on my current key fob to see if it matches the # on the credit card fobs for sale on ebay.

Open it and pull out the inside.

Any tips on how to remove this piece from the fob? After I open the fob there doesn't seem to be any visible clips or fasteners to release it from the inside of the housing.

It sits in the rubber tray. You can pull either of them out, no clips.

Was anyone able to get it to work on their 2018 LC? Would love to just put one of these key cards in my wallet and call it a day.

My 24 Bespoke came with one. As for the earlier models, I have no doubt they will work. People with much older Lexuses are programming their own card key. I'm pretty positive that the 'Stealerships' will be happy to do it for you at $500+ to program one. Or you can buy a unit like this guy and let it pay for itself.

I was also told by a dealer that they don't make a card key for my '15 RCF BUT I did some research and was able to buy a card key off eBay ($200), a key fob programmer off Amazon ($100), and have the physical key cut for $25. Much cheaper than going through the dealer. Even the programmer did not list my car as compatible but I took a gamble and it worked.

Thanks for sharing the link! It seems as if the 2018-2021 have a different key card compared to the 2022 and above which is annoying since the price jumps from $70 to $299 for the '22 and up to the '21 and below. I'll see if a local shop can have it programmed for me.

Would you be able to link everything that you got? Thinking of doing this for the LC.

For my 2015 RCF (may be too old for the new LCs), I used:

So I got an email from Bell Lexus today that parts are on sale for 17.76% off with free shipping so my thoughts right away went to finally getting a card key for my '19 LC. I just texted my service advisor because a few years ago there was no card key for the LCs and I asked him if the card key for the 24 would work and he said:

The key is not compatible with your car. Our parts mgr was involved with a salesman ,We had a salesman order one and we programmed it and it worked 1/2 the time. Parts are available for the newer cars LC not the 2019.
I'm curious why a key would not work all of the time. Seems like it would work or it wouldn't. HAs anyone else with a pre-2024 LC gotten a card key to work reliably? No point in getting one if it doesn't work every time.
https://parts.belllexusnorthscottsdale.com/ if anyone wants to order parts at a discount. There's a banner at the top of the page, good until 7/26.

Does the key card fit into a standard credit card slot in a wallet/car holder?
