Throttle response / hesitation
Anyone else noticed this? Driving through a sweeping bend, revs quite high, say 5 1/2 thousand, ease off the gas, once through the corner, hard on the gas, and there’s a moment of hesitation.
Granted, it’s ages since I’ve owned a naturally aspirated car, so maybe I am expecting too much. However, I’ve owned an ISF and an RCF and don’t recall this behaviour

You Go Boyyyy! Like the way you Drive!!!!! My LC has only hesitated when I push it too hard before the engine/trans has warmed up.

thats probably the traction control muting response because its detecting you are off angle and trying to figure out if you gas it, will you spin.
Maybe try it with TC off ? or in a straight line and see if that hesitation is still there

Thanks for the replies all.
Interestingly, if I leave the gearbox in auto mode (D), the symptoms seem to go away.
I don’t think it’s traction. It’s more like the engine management software is confused when you back off the throttle and then get back on it. Strange.

perhaps in sport+ the throttle is more aggressive and thus break traction more easily, plus in D maybe your rpms aren't as high and thus less torque.
anyway, you can figure it out by turning off tc.

Should be pretty clear when traction control kicks in though, the car literally bogs down (at least on my GS F it does). Try it out in a straight line and see if it only happens in the corners. If it does, it must be the traction control.

FlyTvr - does your car has limited slip differential? without it, obviously it's easier for one wheel to slip, inducing traction control.

Yes, it has an LSD (UK Sport + model). I'm convinced it is not a traction issue. I'm frustrated nobody else has encountered this issue. I think I need to drive another LC for comparison purposes.

so did you try it with tc turned off? and try in a straight line as NoFi suggested?
