tail light carbon fiber 'brow' install
so i finally got it done. very pleased. what i'm referring to is high quality carbon fiber covers that go over the 'chrome plastic' looking trim over the tail lights that is considered by many to be one of the cheaper looking trim bits on the car.
so before:
and a quick test fit before install:
i was a bit paranoid about installing these badly. they come with pre-installed double sided tape underneath and to avoid getting them stuck in the wrong place, i decided to PARTIALLY expose the sticky side by pulling off half the backing, place the covers, then pull the rest of the backing off to finish the job. that worked out well.
another look with the awesome tail lights turned on.
last 2:
anyway, very pleased.

My LC came with All Weather Mats. They are sitting in my garage unused - will never be used. I absolutely hate rubber mats

came with the car!
haha, i LOVE rubber mats in car and in trunk and HATE carpet mats which wear badly and are hard to clean. rubber mats... take 'em out, pressure wash them, let 'em dry, put back, great!
and the lexus lc500 rubber mats are the best i've EVER seen.
i've had weathertech in the past which are plastic, not rubber, and the lexus ones are sooo much better.
sounds like you could sell your rubber ones easily.

CF Taillight covers
I ordered a set of the CF taillight covers on 9/19 through E6 Carbon, (Kunai Sharma): shipped from zenplus. $350 free shipping. Received today 9/29. Install was easy and adhered well, so no chance of these coming off. As others have mentioned, if there is a negative on the LC it is the cheap look and feel of the tail light chrome tops. This fixes that issue and I personally am a huge fan of CF, so these turn a negative to a plus.
Found on Kunal’s site ….
e6carbon.com
Kunai is extremely responsive to my many questions and is a great resource for carbon fiber add ons for our LCs. He is developing new parts in CF for the LC.
I have the CF dash cover on order now. More pics to come when I install that.

I would love to attach my photos but after trying for about 2 hours I give up. Says all my pics are too large so nothing to show. Sorry! Someone explain to me why these forums exist but won’t allow any pictures. Maybe I should buy an iPhone 1 so I can take and attach pics that work on this site.
